Week 6
Week 6
Holy wow that was such an amazing start to my mission. Here's some highlights from my last week here at the CCM:-I never thought this would happen as a missionary, but we basically had a mosh pit while celebrating Mexico independence day
-I wove a basket out of leaves with Elder Weaver
-I showed my casa (house) my magic tricks and they were freaking out
So September 16th is the day of independence for Mexico so to celebrate they brought a mariachi band for dinner to play for us which was so sick. Then they told us to go to the gym at 9 to do a cheer or something. So we head there at 9 and most all the missionaries are in the small echoy gym streaming their heads off. Then the presidency calms us down and we cheer some more then he says he's gonna say some things and we're gonna scream "VIVA MEXICO". So he would say some stuff and we would scream it, then he'd say some more stuff and we would scream again and again until all the missionaries were just screaming VIVA MEXICO over and over and we all basically started moshing while screaming that and it was so much fun.
Then on Saturday night I think, we were chillen in my room talking to some other guys in my house and I showed them a magic trick. After I finished, they kinda freaked out and then some more Elders in my house heard them and came in to see. So I showed them and they freaked out and then more Elders came in. And so on until my entire house of like 25 Elders is in my room watching me do some of my magic tricks and they were all freaking out. It was so cool.
It is really weird to not be in the CCM right now and to know that I'm not going back. I've had so many memories there that I won't ever forget. My district was honestly such a blessing and I've gotten so close with every single one of them over the course of my time there and I've loved getting to know them.
I'm currently on an airplane to Buenos Aires in Argentina, where it'll just be a few more hours until I'm in Resistencia. That is really weird to say.
Tomorrow marks the first day of the rest of my mission so right now is when the biggest changes will happen. I'm excited to see what God has in store for me in Argentina.
Spiritual thought:
I don't remember who but someone in my district gave a great description of how to picture the trinity of the God head and I loved how they said it. If you're having trouble picturing how the trinity works, then
look at it like this, when we pray and Heavenly Father answers our prayer, he answers it while standing in front of us. When Jesus answers our prayers, he answers them while standing right beside us. And when the Holy Ghost answers our prayers, he answers them by dwelling in us and telling us the truth. Heavenly Father stands in front of us, Jesus right beside us, and the Holy Ghost dwells in us.

I love and miss you all so much. In my email next week I'll be telling y'all about my first week in the field so that's kinda crazy.
Peace ✌️
