Week 5

 Week 5

Before we start today's email I have an important issue to discuss. I have noticed some contention between 2 choice Elders about who's district is cooler and would like to remind these Elders (Elder Sorensen and Jarvis) that this is not a Christ like attribute and you should refrain from this contention going on. Thank you.


OK another week at the CCM has passed so here's some highlights:
Stats (I'm not sure what else to keep stats on yet): 195,014 total steps
-We had a tickle fight as a district during my spanish class
-They have these Kit-Kat ice cream bars and I'm pretty sure that they pick them up from heaven to get them here.
-We started playing Mafia during our little breaks and that has started some beef between some of the Elders
-I learned that the word 'Jefe' means boss so now I understand a little bit more of the spanish part in the first Jurassic Park

So during our Spanish class on Saturday, Hermana Cabrera (my teacher) took us to a different room to practice inviting someone to read the Book of Mormon with another district. Then after we finished and the other district left she had us line up and she said, 'ok everyone hug Elder Anderson.' So all the Elders give him a group hug and as she was going around having everyone get there turn being hugged, it got a little crazy and someone started tickling everyone and when Hermana Cabrera asked what was going on we said that someone was tickling us. But she had never heard that word and thought it was so funny so then instead of hug she said, 'ok everyone tickle Elder Halls.' So we attack him and we did that with everyone in the district as she called out our names and it was actually so much fun. 

We started playing Mafia as a district and I've been the narrator for most the games and it is so funny to see the betrayals that take place. After one of the games Elder Anderson (Azul) and Elder Jolley wouldn't talk to Elder Henling because he killed them during the game, and when they died he said he'd speak at their funural and when they found out it was him that killed them they got so mad. 

Spiritual thought: 
Again during one of our nightly house devotionals someone in my house said a quote that was too good not to share. It's a quote about sharing love to others and it went like this, 'show others God's love and if you need to, use words.'

I think that's everything that I can think of to update y'all on. This will be my last week in the CCM so when you hear from me next week I'll either be traveling to Argentina or already there!

 Week 18  They can fly December 9, 2024 What's up y'all. Elder Baldwin leaves in 3 days so starting this week I'm officially out of my training which is so crazy.  Week 10 October 14, 2024 Hola everyone! I never really know what to say to start these off so here's the highlights: -Oh my gosh, thank you guys so much for all the birthday wishes. I was having a rough  week  leading up too my birthday and y'all lifted my spirits so thank you! For those of you who messaged on Facebook I'm not allowed to answer, but I'm so grateful for you too! -Zone Conference was this  week . I'm sure the talks were awesome but I couldn't understand them. I also got to see some of the Elders from my CCM district so that was cool to catch up -Spanish is still so rough but there was one lesson this  week  that one of the lady's that we were teaching was talking with words that I knew almost the whole time and I could understand almost everything she said without too much difficulty which was so cool -It rained -I gave my first blessing this  week !  Week 11     October 21, 2024 I really don't know what to say to start this  week , rock, paper, scissors shoot. Come back next  week  to see if u beat  me . Highlights: -Aliens do in fact exist  -I made torta fritas for my district, and it was rough because they were explaining to  me  how to make them in Spanish and I had no idea what they were saying.  -Argentine Mother's day was yesterday so Happy Mother's day mom OK, the reason that I say aliens exist is because I heard a really weird noise in the sky, meaning it's got to be aliens We had a meeting with our district last  week  and my comp, Elder Baldwin, had us make this scone thing, called torta fritas I think, for the lesson. The whole thing was in Spanish tho so I don't really have any idea what's happening.
