Week 3
WEEK 3
What is going on everyone? We'll get straight into it so here are the highlights for the week:
-I got sent to the corner in class
-Apparently they don't celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Mexico
-I now know why a mission will be the hardest thing I've done so far in my life, I jammed my finger and it hurt really bad
Elder Anderson (azul) and I were undefeated in spikeball after 3 days of playing, then barely lost to the most insane spikeball player I've ever played against
-I had an encounter with an Elder and it was very interesting
So, in my Spanish class, when people talk out of turn, Hermana Cabrera (my teacher) has started sending them to the corner. Then during one of the Spanish classes my companion and Elder Anderson (azul) got sent to the corner for something, and it was really funny, so someone pulled out their phone to film, but Hermana Cabrera said no filming. However, it was really funny so I tried to be sneaky about filming them, but she saw me and sent me to another corner too. Then she forgot about me so I had to stare at the corner for probably 5 more minutes than I had to.
Oh yeah and my preach my gospel teacher, Hermano Lozano, said that Cinco de Mayo is just a regular day. My mind was blown.
Ok, so I was walking down the sidewalk and I see this Elder all alone reading, so I point him out to my district but he notices me pointing at him. Then he stands up and gets all defensive and tries to get in my face and he was like "What's your problem bro??" So I was like "What's your problem?" then I stare at him for a second, then I give him a chest bump and we part ways. Oh yeah his name was Elder Sorenson.
Also I guess I lied in my email last week, I said that the talk given by Elder Holland was only available at the MTCs around the world, well another Elder sent it to me so I have it on my phone now so shout out to him.
Spiritual experience of the week:
I was saying my nightly prayer and right when I started I felt the spirit hit me really strong and for some reason it made me start breathing a little harder. At that exact moment I heard Elder Lord's right below me (we sleep on bunk beds) start breathing harder as well. Then after the prayer I asked him why and he said he felt the spirit too. So that was actually such a cool moment to have.
